What is wrong with my cat? And does he look evil to you?

My cat's name is Yogi, he is a real brat. Ever since he was little (2 weeks), he always spit, smacked, slapped, bit, or attacked someone if he got angry. I want him to be happy, but I'm the only person he will let near him. He purrs when I pet him, but when someone else pets him, he turns into the "Devil's Son". But I still love him, i just want him to be nicer. We also have 2 other cats at home, and 2 dogs. Yogi also attacks the animals. He is sooo big, that he is bigger than both of my dogs. His teeth stick out of his mouth they're so long, and he looks like a vampire. Can you tell me if he looks like a brat? Or even evil? I'll email you a picture of him, too. Please give me your email address, and ill get back with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your time and help.

Have you had Yogi checked at the vet? He may be acting out because he is in pain. Only a vet can tell for sure.

If not, you might want to try something called "Rescue Remedy" which you can get from any health food store. It's one of several Bach Flower remedies, and works like a charm on behaviour problems. Just put a few drops in all the animals water bowls so they can all benefit but for Yogi, put a few drops on your finger and rub it on the inside flap of his ears (the blood vessels are very close to the surface there, and so the liquid will get into his bloodstream faster). DO NOT give it orally - it's 40% alcohol and could damage his liver.

You can also get in touch with an inter-species communicator to ask him why he is behaving aggressively (link listed under sources). It could just be that Yogi needs to be the "dominant" cat because he was a runt at birth, or something like that.

I've been fostering and cat rescuing for about 20 years and have found the above helpful. I'd love to see his picture, so please email it to me (thyatt416@yahoo.ca). Good luck!
Reply:he's not evil. jst temperamental. he jst has alot of energy pent up that needs to be released. find an outlet for him.
Reply:you need to take that Garfield wanna be to the vet. they'll have all the answers.
Reply:what i did to get animals to get to like each other was i put them in a small room (a closet) with food in water and checked in on them every once i a while to clean there litter box or take them to the bathroom. soon afetr about a week or two , they will like each other. if not it has rabies.
Reply:I had a "devil" cat who only let me pet her and pick her up, but that was just how she was, queen of the house. My family would say "why do you keep that cat - she is a devil cat" but not to me she wasn't. If Yogi is your pal then try and understand he may not like strangers .
Reply:We used to call my little punkin - Spawn. I think she might give your Yogi a run for his money in the evil department.
Reply:some cat are just like that
Reply:i have it set up on my profile so you can e-mail me. he sounds like our female we had. she would bite everyone or growl at them when they came in. she would lay down, watching them, ears laid back, tail flicking and all the while growling at them, even though she was a declaw, she beat up a border collie. sent him yelping with one blow. my husband was in the fron room and heard it where we were in the bedroom. she was very protective and possessive of "her"humans. sounds like he is just a possessive little guy. i would love to see him. he might not ever change his purrsonality, but that's what makes him all the more lovable and special.
Reply:Well, you didn't attach a photo but I can tell you something. I had a Himalayan Siamese. The most beautiful cat you'd ever seen but was vicious with other people. When the cat attacked my daughter, that was it. I never thought I'd have an animal put down but this one went for the eyes. By the way, just so you don't think I'm a cold hearted b-----d: I had another cat with diabetes that I gave 2 insulin shots a day for 12 years. It died of old age in my arms and we were heartbroken; she was 17 years old. I think you have a hard decision to make about that animal.
Reply:Hehe, that's excatly like my cat. Once I gave him a cat IQ test, and the result said: your cat is intelligent, evil and manipulative = just as a normal cat should be.

Now seriously, that's what an intellgent cat is like, especially when he hasn't grown up with his brothers and sisters, in order to become more sociable. My cat had lost his family, in the streets, and I rescued him when he was sick, alone and chased by dogs etc. Then I spoiled him, too. But I love him more than anything, and he loves me back exclusively. He will accept anything from me, although the vet can't do anything with him if I am not around! we are devoted to each other! Your cat is the same, he is not evil, just not very social. You can try not to spoil him much, but it won't work. Just don't accept anything from him!
Reply:Nothing is wrong with your cat. He's just a one person cat (and undoubtly jealous of you). Yogi will either adapt to the company of your other pets, or they will learn to avoid him. ANd he may never like strangers.

Your Yogi is fine. It's just his personality.

By the way, my Smokey Bear is a British short hair and he has teeth that stick out a bit. He's my little "vampire". My vet says it's no different than a person with an overbite or elongated incisors.
Reply:i would like a pic haha luvbugtkd@aol.com

and go to the vet maybe hes half bat?

haha jk

but give him lots of love
Reply:Sorry not getting my email address but I can tell you that you did not socialize your kitty from an early age and it is too late to socialize him now. So live with him the way he is and just make sure he never attacks anyone else or you are liable for it.
Reply:I saw a book and a web site about cats that seem to behave badly and pull faces.

I just "googled" this site, (I've seen it before)
