Vampires prove evolution to be true?

After watching numerous Hollywood films, I have concluded that Vampires evolved from Humans. Their senses are sharper and lifespan much longer than ours, thus more adapted to preying and a longer lifespan to find the right mate.

For some Vampires, they can still dine on human foods but at some point or another, they need human blood. It's like an essential nutrient.

Other, more evolved Vampires, drink only blood. Yet, they still have their plant-chewing teeth and most likely a digestive system that has lost its function (blood sucked goes directly into their bloodstream). These are to be considered vestigial organs.

Lastly, while they are a different species, they can still mate with humankind, producing half breeds, much like crossing donkeys and horses. However, they are still close enough that possibly the offspring can mate one more time with each species before producing a sterile offspring themselves.

How do creationists deal with this awesome example?

Vampires prove evolution to be true?
You should go read up on the history of the vampire myth instead of basing your theories on movies. The current explanation for vampirism is an actual medical disease called porphyria. This is a blood disease that affects the heme or haem of the blood which then affects the rest of the body, and has sometimes been the explanation for werewolves as well.

Individuals who have porphyria are sometimes 'allergic' to the sun, being exposed to sunlight can cause their skin to burn and breakdown which causes these people to be very pallid and pale like a typical vampire.

Also, due to gum tissue damage from the porphyria the gums have receded quite a bit which then cause the eye teeth to look very long and pointed, resembling fangs. Finally, people with porphyria are very anemic. When a person's body needs an essential material to survive, such as iron, it finds a way to get it. These people who started the vampire myth were compelled to drink blood, mostly from livestock, in order to obtain the essential iron they needed to survive.

While prophyria can explain a lot about the vampire myth, rabies has also been attributed to vampirism. The erratic behavior, foaming at the mouth, and sometimes compulsion to bite people can be caused by rabies. Also, people didn't understand the normal decomposition pattern that bodies go through, and so thought that some bodies were continuing to live on as a vampire. The bloating and redness of the skin caused some people to see a dead body as "ruddy and well-fed". Blood sometimes will leak out of the mouth and nose, and the skin and gums will lose fluids which can produce the illusion that the individual's teeth and nails have grown and that they have been out drinking blood.

So there's some of the things that once caused people to think that vampires existed. It's only because of a lack of knowledge about medicine and the workings of the human body that vampirism began.
Reply:I figured you may have been joking...but interesting history all the same. Report It

Reply:Even though you're feeling really good you shouldn't go off of your meds.
Reply:Thank you for finally figuring it all out.Who could not be convinced by your faultless logic?
Reply:If Hollywood movies prove it true, then it must be true...they've never lied to me before.
Reply:I think you read too many comic books and watch too much prime time television. There are NO vampires other than mosquitos and a couple of species of bats.
Reply:I have no comment about your theory...but I like your avatar! Are we long lost brothers or something? =)
Reply:Wow... You should study in cinematography... You know hollywood is not for real... Hope you will not cry...

Also Santa Claus doesn't exist... whoops...
Reply:Vampires are fictitious creatures.
