Vampires? Vampyres? Nosferatu? Bloodsuckers? ???

Anyone know of any good Vampire books? I've read Rice and Lumley...and a few others.... I'd like something I can really sink my teeth into... *wink* ;)

Vampires? Vampyres? Nosferatu? Bloodsuckers? ???
Laurell Hamilton's Anita Blake series - start with Guilty Pleasure, in order is necessary (ISBN: 9780515134490) - one of my very favorites

If Angels Burn by Lynn Viehl (ISBN: 9780451214775) very well written

Undead and Unwed by MaryJanice Davidson (ISBN: 9780425194850) hilarious!!

Sweetblood by Pete Hautman (ISBN: 9780689873249) - very interesting take on vampirism

Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (ISBN: 9780316160209)

Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires Series #1) by Rachel Caine (ISBN: 9780451219947)

The Wicked by L. A. Banks (ISBN: 9780312352363)

I, Strahd : Memoirs of a Vampire: The Ravenloft Covenant by P. N. Elrod (ISBN-13: 9780786941230) - and most other books by him, very good author

To sample a bunch of really good authors try Many Bloody Returns: Tales of Birthdays with Bite (ISBN:9780441015221) an excellent anthology with something for everyone
Reply:No, but see if you can get a tape or DVD of "Once bitten"
Reply:Robert R. McHammon. The book is "They Thirst." A vampire takeover of L.A. during a massive sandstorm. Couldn't happen to a better town.
Reply:There are modern day vampire tales by a young author named Amelia Atwater Rhodes. She shows vampires in a new light (quite interesting, although not as captivating as Rice)

A couple of her books are called in the forest of the night and Demon in My View. Check them out. they're pretty decent.
Reply:twilight by stephine meyer (%26amp; the sequles new moon %26amp; eclipse)
Reply:the twilight series by Stephenie Meyer
Reply:OKay this one is a huge hit with teh teen population at the moment: twilight- it's a very good romance and it does have Vamps- you'd proabably like the second or third book better.
Reply:There was this realllllllll goood one called the STAKE i think. started when these people found a body with a stake in its chest!
